Benedek Bernadette
I am Benedek Bernadette, a drama teacher. I’ve known since I was in tenth grade that this was my path — although back then I only instinctively felt that I wanted to do this, as I couldn’t precisely describe what this profession actually entailed. I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, specializing in Preschool and Primary Education Pedagogy, and then worked and studied in Hungary for several years. My goal all along was to bring the knowledge and experience I gained back home and put it to good use here. For me, drama pedagogy is not just a method, but an opportunity: using the tools of play and theatre, we develop children’s self-confidence, emotional intelligence, relationship-building skills, and many other abilities that are essential in today’s world. It’s wonderful to see when, as a result of our collaborative work, something starts within them, and each session begins to shape their personality and way of thinking. This change is sometimes quiet and gradual, but I believe and know that each time we set them on a deeper path of self-discovery and creativity.
